PMMA FOR ROTATIONAL MOULDING

The study shows the development process of a Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) grade for rotational moulding purposes from the vantage point of a raw material supplier. A specific acrylic resin has being evaluated as alternative to Polycarbonate (PC) for lightings, design elements, glazing and roofing applications. Data concerning the rheological, physical and chemical properties have been collected via laboratory measurements. Recommendations about how to rotate PMMA as powder and micropellets are given.
